After picking you up at your accommodation we will drive to Stellenbosch (45m from Cape Town City) and visit our first Wine Estate. Babylonstoren Wine Estate is a historic Cape Dutch farm nestled in the Drakenstein Valley, renowned for its delicious wines and stunning eight-acre vegetable garden (Perfect to walk around and take pictures). We love its tasty Deli Cafe & Bakery, its giant vegetable garden walk and wine tasting room experience! His most loved wine is the Babel Red Blend. It's a favourite among wine enthusiasts for its complexity and smooth finish, perfectly representing the quality and craftsmanship of Babylonstoren's wines. You will try 5 wines of their white/rose/red selections; let’s find our favourite one together!
We also love their Scented Room where you can immerse yourself in the delightful aromas of the estate's gardens, experience the fragrant beauty of herbs, flowers, and essential oils crafted from their diverse botanical collection. It's a great stop to find handmade quality souvenirs to bring back home if you wish too! Babylonstoren is not only a Wine Estate, but also a full experience and must-visit destination! After Babylonstoren, we will drive to Franschhoek (20min drive) for a tasty lunch in our favourite Farm restaurant nestled in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley. This charming lunch spot offers a picturesque view setting and a farm-to-table delicious meal! We love their fresh, locally sourced ingredients, their wine and MCC and we can't wait to share this spot with you! We will then drive to our next Wine Estate for a wine tasting but this time with a twist! We found a stunning educative and fun experience for you; Be a wine maker for a day and join a Wine Blending experience! Engage in a fun, interactive session where you’ll learn about different varietals and create your own unique blend. Guided by expert winemakers, you can craft a personalized bottle to take home. This experience combines education, creativity, and the enjoyment of fine wine, set against the stunning backdrop of the Franschhoek Valley :) Drive back to Cape Town City (appx 1H20m drive). We will start this amazing experience with a pickup from your hotel at approximately 09H00 en route to the magnificent Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden where you will embark on the Fybos guided tour and learn about the diverse and rich flora of the Cape Floristic Region. We will then drive through the Constantia Valley for our first stop at Groot Constantia, South Africa's oldest wine estate. Following the wine tasting, we will grab a delicious lunch at the estate's restaurant (lunch at own account). We will start this amazing experience with a pickup from your hotel at approximately 08H00 en route to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island for a 3 to 4-hour experience to see where Nelson Mandela and so many other civilians, politicians were incarcerated during the Apartheid regime. Skip the line of buying the tickets as this tour will have your pre-booked ticket ahead of time. Please take note that Robben Island Museum reserved the right to cancel any given tour at their own discretion. In the case of cancellation, you will be entitled to a full refund or an option to reschedule. Your guide-driver will not escort you to the Island as they have their own guides. You will be on the boat with other people. You will be given a full tour by an ex-prisoner.
Soon after returning from your Robben Island Tour experience, we will allow you to grab a sandwich or light lunch at own account at a nearby restaurant. Our next stop before we arrive at Table Mountain, we will allow you a 15 minutes stop for a photo opportunity in the Bo-Kaap ( The Colourful houses), The Grand parade, (Where Nelson Mandela's First Speech happened, Woodstock (A complex but fascinating part of the city influenced by art and creativity) From here, we will drive to the Cable Car station, where you will be given your return ticket by your guide.
